In her book - "The Dark Side of the Light Chasers"
Debbie Ford clearly says one can only unleash his/her potential – reclaiming his/her power, creativity, brilliance, and dreams when he/she can accept himself/herself as a
whole person; not only the best sides of himself/herself but also the darks sides as well.

This is an amazing book that I have read in the recent years. Harvard professor Langer clearly explains the difference between mindlessness and mindfulness. She starts with the cost of mindlessness and then shows us how to move into the mindfulness stage.

The book that I would like to recommend is "Korku Kültürü – Fear Culture" by Dogan Cüceloglu. In his book, the writer argues that when fear dominates a society, there will be neither respect in that society for reality nor appreciation of human being. And people do not really live their lives; they are only pretending.

In their book - Dancing at the Edge, Graham Leicester and Maureen O'Hara focus on the 21st Century's competencies and argue that competence should not be understood as abstract achievement any more but rather should be seen as a whole and in action.

The book that I finished reading in this quarter is the Adult Years, Mastering the Art of Self-Renewal by Frederic M. Hudson. It is an amazing book and I highly recommend it. But one of the parts that I liked most is about "Finding Fulfilment in Cyclical Lives". In this part (p.32) Hudson simply says "what we can know and master in our kind of world is the process of ongoing change, not progress toward ultimate results".

In his book – Flow, the psychology of optimal experience, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi helps us gain insights into the understanding of how complete engagement and deep-down satisfaction can be achieved when we experience life.

Alexander The Great's Art of Strategy is one of the best strategy books that I have ever read. It tells us not only how he succeeded but how we can apply his tactics into business. One of the good questions that make you think when you read the book is: What is your motivation in life?

One of the books that I have just finished and highly recommend is The Speed of Trust by Stephen M.R. Covey. Just a small paragraph from the book: "Trust is a function of two things: character and competence. Character includes your integrity, your motive, your intent with people. Competence includes your capabilities, your skills, your results, your track record. And both are vital." (p.30)

In his book - "emotions revealed", Paul Ekman does not only show us how to recognize feelings in others but also perfectly explains why people behave emotionally. In today’s world where human interactions get more and more complex, this book offers us a new perspective that may help us better communicate to others.

This is one of the books which made me really think and question what I already know about time. The writer, Judy Wajcman questions why we are pressed for time and argues "rather than being endemically pressed for time, perhaps we are confused about what time we are living in." I highly recommend this book.

If you would like to better express yourself and achieve effective communication with others, I think this is a must book. Marshall Rosenberg simply but perfectly explains what steps you need to take to make it happen.
